HEPA-CAP In-Line Filters. Whatman
Whatman / Schleicher & Schuell (GE Healthcare)
HEPA-CAP is a disposable in-line filter device that will retain 99.97% of all particles greater than or equal to 0.3m. HEPA filter media is used throughout the scientific, research and industrial environments to provide clean/sterile air and gases. Two sizes of these devices are available: HEPA-CAP 36 with a 625 square centimeter filter area; and HEPA-CAP 75 with a 1300 square centimeter filter area. The HEPA-CAP housing is made of durable polypropylene. The filter media is laminated hydrophobic-treated glass microfibre. To provide clean/sterile air passing in and/or out of vessels (mixing, filling, fermenting, storing and transporting), the glass microfibre filter media provides high flow rates with low pressures. In use, one connector of the bi-directional HEPA-CAP is connected to the outlet of the vessel; the other connector is open to the atmosphere. HEPA-CAP 36 connections are stepped hose barbs for ¼" to 3/8" (8 to 10mm) I.D. hoses; HEPA-CAP 75 has barbs for ½" (12mm) I.D. hoses.
