InterLab P210 Polyseed® NX BOD Seed Innoculum Capsules. Obtain accurate CBOD readings even in the presence of a healthy nitrifying population.POLYSEED NX is a blend of specialized microbial cultures containing a chemical additive for the inhibition of nitrifying bacteria in wastewater sample. In an easy-to-use capsule, POLYSEED NX is packaged and designed to provide a standard seed source for the degradation of both industrial and municipal waste in CBOD5 analyses. The amount of nitrification inhibitor used is comparable to that which is stated in Standard Methods as necessary for sufficient inhibition. Formulated according to The Standard Methods for Examination of Water and Wastewater. It is EPA accepted, non-pathogenic and free of nitrifying microorganisms. To use, mix contents of one (1) capsule with 0.5L of APHA standard dilution water at 20°C (68°F), stir for at least 60 minutes. Mixture yields seed inoculum for up to 200 BOD5 tests. For best results, use within one year of purchase. 50 capsules/pack.
