Nasco B01254WA Whirl-Pak® 10.1oz Sterile Thio-Bags® are specially designed for sampling chlorinated water. This single use, sterilized, lightweight, unbreakable container is always ready for immediate use. Used by many states and EPA approved, this strong transparent bag holds a nontoxic, nonnutritive tablet containing 10 mg of active sodium thiosulfate to neutralize chlorine at the time of collection. As an added feature, Thio-Bags® have a Convenient Write-On Strip and markings for 300ml measurements. Bags are made of high-quality blended polyethylene. Leakproof closure (whirling or tightly folding the tab over 3 times) prevents impurities from entering the bag and contaminating the sample. Bags are sterilized using ethylene oxide gas at an independent ISO-certified facility. FDA approved. Capacity is measured in fluid ounces. Volume and dimensions are approximate. Whirl-Pak bags are 2.25 mil (.057 mm) thick. Bags should not be used at temperatures above 180° F (82° C). They can be frozen to any temperature, even with liquid nitrogen (careful handling required after freezing). Do not autoclave.
